My journey with wood as a material began with this model that I carved out of softwood (Pine) - an extremely meditative process.
Post carving, I burnt it to give the model a dark brown tan, stained it with water colours and then applied Varnish.

A toy made with wood and string

An exploration combining properties of Wood and Cloth. Attempts with Paper and Cycle tube were not successful, as the Paper tore and the rubber tube kept returning to its relaxed position.

A side-table to explore wooden joineries - tenon & mortise at an angle, half lap joints and biscuit joints. Explored Balance and Geometry when creating this one-legged cantilever structure.
